# Static residential proxies: fixed IPs and connection modes

> Learn how MiyaIP static residential proxies provide fixed ISP exit IPs, with location selection and native or relay connection modes.

MiyaIP static residential proxies use fixed residential ISP IPs. You purchase an IP under a plan for dedicated use, making this option suitable when you need to keep the same exit IP across connections.

## Product characteristics

* **Fixed IP**: use the same static IP during your purchased plan's validity period.
* **Residential ISP resources**: choose IP resources associated with residential carrier networks.
* **Location selection**: example locations include the United States, United Kingdom, France, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, and South Korea. Check the dashboard for currently available countries, regions, and resources.

Before connecting, choose the mode that fits your network. A **Native proxy** requires your own overseas network environment; a **Relay proxy** does not require one. See the [static residential proxy quick start](/proxy/static-residential/quick-start) for the corresponding controls and fields.
