# Dynamic residential proxy setup: purchase and credentials

> Set up MiyaIP dynamic residential proxies: buy a plan, choose a location and rotation mode, generate connection credentials, and review traffic usage.

This page explains how to use dynamic residential proxy with account authentication. Screenshots show the English dashboard. Control names may change between versions; use the values generated by your current dashboard.

## Purchase and configuration

<Steps>
  <Step title="Register an account and buy a plan">
    Visit the [MiyaIP website](https://miyaip.com/), create an account, and sign in. Complete identity verification if prompted by the dashboard.

    Open **Proxies → Dynamic Residential → Pricing**. Choose a plan, check **Order details**, select a payment method under **Pay with**, and accept the terms. Click **Continue to payment** and follow the dashboard's payment prompts.

    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open proxy settings">
    Open **Proxies → Dynamic Residential → Proxy setup**.

    Confirm that the current page is **Dynamic Residential** before configuring credentials for this product.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a location">
    Select the location you need under **Country / Region**. The source guide defaults to the **Standard pool**; check this under **IP pool**.

    If you need a state or city, use the location options currently available in the dashboard. The random location shown in the screenshot is an example, not a required choice.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose rotation and session duration">
    Choose your **Rotation mode** and, for a sticky session, its **Duration**:

    * **Rotate every request**: Use it to change the IP on each request.
    * **Sticky session**: Select the session length under **Duration**.

    The screenshot shows **30 minutes** as an example. Choose a duration available in your own dashboard, check your selection before generating credentials, and follow your plan's rules. See [rotation and sticky sessions](/guides/rotation-sessions) for the differences.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the proxy server address">
    Check the proxy server address provided by your dashboard for the selected settings. Use your own address and keep its matching port, username, and password together.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate the proxy list">
    Open **Proxy outputs → Proxy list** and set **Quantity** and **Output format**.

    1. Set the number of entries to generate. The source guide allows up to **1,000 entries**; the current dashboard determines the actual limit.
    2. Choose the output format your client needs. The screenshot uses `host:port:username:password`.
    3. Click **Generate proxies** and wait for the entries to appear in the list.
    4. Use **Copy all** or the copy buttons beside individual fields to obtain the connection details.

    </Frame>

    The screenshot shows the settings layout before proxy entries have been generated. Generate your own entries before copying their connection details.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the four fields into your client">
    Fill each client field with the corresponding value from the generated result. Check that the host, port, username, and password come from the same entry:

    | Field | How to use it |
    | - | - |
    | `hostname` / `host` | The proxy server's hostname or address; enter it in the server field. |
    | `port` | The matching proxy port; enter it in the port field. |
    | `username` | The complete generated authentication username, including any selected location or session parameters. |
    | `password` | The password paired with that username; enter it in the password field. |

    Follow your client's proxy protocol and field requirements. Do not use the entire `host:port:username:password` line as the hostname, and do not use the example credentials in the screenshots.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review traffic usage">
    Open **Dynamic Residential → Traffic usage details** to review usage for this product.

    1. Select the date range you want to review.
    2. Choose **Hourly**, **Daily**, **Weekly**, or **Monthly** under **Data interval**.
    3. Review **Total traffic**, including uploads and downloads, **Requests**, **Success rate**, and **Limited requests**.
    4. Switch **Usage over time** between **Traffic** and **Requests**, and review **Country distribution** and **Top destinations**.

    The screenshot has no records; its zero values are examples. The available statistics and data depend on the selected product, date range, and current dashboard.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Username parameters

The table below preserves the username parameter meanings described by the source guide. Copy the complete username generated by the dashboard when connecting. Do not use the example account name as your own or assemble credentials from this table alone.

| Parameter | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `ACCOUNT_USERNAME` | Your own account username, replacing the example account in the source screenshot. |
| `g-` | Country or region; the source guide describes an omitted value as the global mix. |
| `s-` | State; an omitted value selects a random state in the source guide. |
| `c-` | City; an omitted value selects a random city in the source guide. |
| `sid-` | Sticky session identifier; omitting it uses a rotating proxy. |
| `l-` | The fixed usage duration for one IP; use values supported by the current dashboard. |
